Designed for students with a USCF rating of 1200 or higher who are serious about competitive chess and want to continue developing their skills as tournament players.

This 2.5-hour advanced training program combines intensive instruction, tournament preparation, practice games, and detailed game analysis. Students will work on advanced tactics, calculation, strategic planning, positional understanding, opening preparation, endgame technique, and tournament strategy.

Students will play tournament preparation games during class, with time dedicated to analyzing the games immediately after they are played. After a rated tournament, students can also bring their tournament games to class and analyze them with the instructor during the same class, allowing them to review their decisions, understand their mistakes, and learn from their games while they are still fresh in their minds.

The three-hour format gives students enough time to study advanced concepts, play serious practice games, prepare for upcoming tournaments, and receive in-depth game analysis.

Ideal for experienced tournament players who are ready to challenge themselves, prepare seriously for rated competitions, and take their chess to a higher level.
